Strelitzia nicolai "White Bird of Paradise" brings an exotic feel to your interior space with its large banana like leaves arranged in a fan like display on upright stalks. When grown in a container, the leaves can reach an average of 5' long at maturity. When planted outdoors, the "White Bird of Paradise" can reach 20'-30' in height with a spread of 6'-10'. The lower trunk becomes exposed as older leaves drop off, giving it an appearance similar to that of a Travelers Palm. Blooms are incredibly showy, white flowers with dark blue tongues. Full sun to light shade. Keep soil evenly moist.
