Medinilla 'Gregori Hambali' has broad, deeply veined leaves with reddish purple undersides. A wondrous display of vibrant pink flowers form along the stems, known as a cauliflorous flower! It is a semi-epiphytic plant, let dry out between waterings. Grow indoors in bright indirect light and outdoors in shade to dappled morning sunlight.

Medinillas excrete small, round, semi-translucent grains known as "growth sugars". These growth sugars are completely harmless to the plant and having growth sugars present is actually a tell-tale sign that that plant is healthy and thriving in its current growing conditions.
