'Calypso' is a hybrid of Cryptanthus beuckeri x 'Strawberries Flambe' created by Carole Richtmyer. The leaves are light green with dark green mottling with bright pink overlay, reaching 14" in diameter at maturity and will produce pups at the base of the plant.

Cryptanthus are commonly referred to as “Earth Stars”. Keep the soil damp at all times. Prefers bright indirect light, will tolerate a bit of early morning or late afternoon direct sun, midday sun can scorch the leaves. Protect from temps below 40F.
